While most people get excited about the start of the 2015-16 NHL season and the debut of players like Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel, I’ll take the combination of Orr, Howe and Hull any day of the week! Those players and many others like them, are featured in the collection this video depicts. As in most negotiations, the owner of the cards always wants to know “how much I’ll pay”! I wish it was as easy as “black and white” figures in a price guide or what a quick look on eBay shows but that is rarely the case! Condition, market demand and other factors go into determining values. As this video shows, I put the value on this person’s stuff in the ballpark of $2,500.00. I ended up paying him $1,500.00 in cash. After carefully considering his other alternatives, the lack of card stores left to visit and the challenges, risk and time needed to devote to selling them himself online, made my offer more than fair!
