Old Scrapbook with 1937-38 OPC Hockey Cards Inside + 1945 World Series Program

From the earliest days of organized sports up until the 1970’s, it was very common for kids to make a scrapbook filled with newspaper clippings and other ephemera of their favorite player, team or sport. Most of these were thrown away by mom’s or when kids outgrew this pastime (or discovered girls, cars, rock and roll or a combination of all three)! The one’s that did survive like this, tend to be in very rough shape due to the glue used to hold the items in place, etc. That said, the beauty of the items can still be enjoyed as this video shows. The highlights of this collection are some 1937-38 OPC hockey cards including Turk Broda and Toe Blake‘s rookie card! A 1945 World Series Program was also present and thankfully, remained free of the scrapbook itself! These items were kept in the same family well over 70 years. When it came time to sell them, the nephew looked into selling the items himself but quickly realized that task was a bit more daunting than he realized! Instead of investing the time in trying to do it himself, he called me and shortly after that, sent the items to me in the mail. The very next day we were able to come to a deal and I sent him payment immediately! Please read the letter of testimony he wrote about his experience selling this collection to me.

I had some old Hockey memorabilia in scrap book and baseball/hockey programs from 1950’s. It was time to part with things as taking up space. After researching eBay and online about my collection, I discovered Mikes videos and business. I reached out over email and was provided good information and upfront discussion about items. Mike has been straight forward and good with communication and saved me time and effort trying to sell my items. Sale was completed with a email money transfer.

Thanks for your time Mike,
