1980’s Hockey Collection Features The Best Of The Edmonton Oilers (Gretzky, Messier) w/Testimony From The Seller

When it comes to determining the value of O-Pee-Chee hockey card collections from the 1980’s, the focus falls on one team, the Edmonton Oilers! While the bottom of this box contains a nice assortment of material from the early 70’s, it was the row of stuff on top from the decade after including multiple Wayne Gretzky’s and doubles of Mark Messier’s rookie card that were the true highlights!

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE LETTER OF TESTIMONY THE OWNER OF THE CARDS SEND TO ME AFTER I PURCHASED HIS COLLECTION!

I often encourage people to take their stuff around so they can see what the actual market for their stuff is! As you can see, my price for these cards was better than the other offer! If you have 1970’s or 1980’s O-Pee-Chee hockey or baseball collections with cards of Wayne Gretzky or rookie cards of players like Mark Messier and the daunting task of trying to sell them yourself seems overwhelming, give me a call (604-726-1774) to discuss what you have. I found a large box of hockey cards recently in my basement that I collected during my childhood. I spent a week organizing them and wondered if they had any value. Through an internet search I found the name of Mike Chark from AA Sports Cards in Vancouver. I gave him a call and he gave me some insights into my collection from the 1970’s and 1980’s. He suggested that I take my collection to local sports cards stores to see if there was any interest. I received an offer from one store and let Mike know to see if he thought the offer was fair and whether he could do any better. He made me a slightly better offer, but with the cost of postage and possible issues with shipping, I told him if might be easier for me just to take the offer at the local store. Mike told me that he understood, but that he really wanted to close the deal. He indicated if I mailed my cards to him in Vancouver that he would review the collection and try to increase the offer if it was warranted. Based on my phone conversation and e mail correspondence with Mike I sensed that I could trust him and I mailed the package to him on a Saturday. He received the cards on late Tuesday afternoon, evaluated the collection and e transferred me an amount $100 more than the local offer later Tuesday evening.

I would highly recommend Mike Chark at AA Sports Cards for selling your vintage sports card collection. He was highly professional, open and honest in his communications with me, and the transaction was quick and easy. It was nice to turn an old box of hockey cards from the basement into a handful of cash.

Thanks Mike!
