Pre-War Hockey Collection From The 1930’s-40’s w/ Letter From Person Who Sold It To Me

1930’s-1940’s Pre-War Hockey Card Collection

This pre-war hockey collection was sent to me for evaluation/purchase from Calgary, Alberta, (I mistakenly said Edmonton in the video – sorry Oilers fans). The container arrived within 3 days of the person dropping it off via UPS. As soon as the container arrived, I contacted the seller to let them know I had received it. As the video shows, the next step was to go through the contents and verify the things we had discussed were inside, and then to look at condition and other factors that go into putting a value on things. When someone sends me their collection, I make it a priority to get right to their stuff and start to put hard values on things so I don’t leave them waiting and wondering what is happening with their goods. In this case, I was able to get back to the seller within a day to go over what I could pay for his stuff! He accepted the offer and I paid him that same afternoon by e-transfer. If he had not been set up to accept an online payment, I would have sent him a certified bank draft from TD Canada Trust the next morning by Express Post envelope, and he would have had it in a matter of days! The most gratifying part of this is receiving an e-mail from the seller about his positive experience selling the collection to me! It confirms all the points I try to make, and the model I am trying to build my business on.

If you have a Pre-War hockey collection from the 1930’s-40’s or any sports related items from the 1950’s right up to today, and you do not want to spend your evenings, weekends trying to sell it yourself online, or you can’t find a local buyer in your area, all you need to do is contact me to discuss what you have. Once we make a deal, just box it up, send it out, and then wait to get paid, but I guarantee you won’t be waiting too long! I can be reached by phone at 604-726-1774 or by e-mail at info@aasportscards.com. I look forward to hearing from you!

I inherited my late grandpa’s collection of hockey cards and I didn’t know where to start in terms of selling them. I found Mike online & gave him a shout & he gave me open & honest advice on the directions I can take. Yes, I POSSIBLY could’ve made more money had I spent countless hours researching everything & trying to sell the collection piece by piece, or I could hand it over to someone who does this for a living, take a fair cut from the collection & skip all the hard work. I contacted a few buyers & they were very interested, but they were difficult to deal with. They wouldn’t call when they said they would, they would give me an offer, etc.. So I picked Mike, and I’m glad I did.

I live in Calgary, Alberta. So trying to sell a collection to someone in a different province feels like a big risk. However, Mike was very open & honest about everything. So I felt comfortable sending him my collection. He received it in 2 days, quickly reviewed the contents with an honest lense and I received a fair price. It was quick & easy with no stress. I would definitely recommend Mike to anyone looking to sell their collection.
