WE GOT THIS CONSIGNOR $11,750.00 US FOR HIS HARMON KILLEBREW GAME USED BAT

Len Corben turned his boyhood passion for sports into a career; first as a columnist in the print media, and then as an author of several books. When Len decided the time was right to sell some of the sports memorabilia he accumulated over a lifetime of collecting, he called us! Among his best pieces was an autographed, game-used Harmon Killebrew bat from the Hall of Famers final season in Major League baseball (1974).

After selling some of his other items on consignment through our eBay auction program, we took a different approach with the bat. We all agreed that the bat “had the potential” to be a very valuable piece, but for that to happen it had to be made “auction ready”. In today’s market, getting an item ready for auction, means having it professionally authenticated. Many people are wary of sending their items away to (mostly American) companies for authentication, but authentication is integral to obtaining maximum potential value for any high-end collectible. It gives people confidence to bid freely on top dollar items that just can’t be achieved by any other means. We regularly send sports cards and autographs off to companies such as PSA, SGC, BGS, JSA for grading and authentication, so we helped walk Len through the various steps in getting the bat properly authenticated.  After the bat was successfully determined to be “the real deal”, our next step was to get hold of one of our contacts who we felt could get the highest return possible for this item in US funds.

WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO SAY, THAT THIS BAT ENDED UP SELLING FOR $11,750.00 USD.

Needless to say, Mr. Corben was very happy with the outcome of the sale. After the sale was completed, Mr. Corben took the time to write the following letter of testimony about his experience in dealing with us. Whether you have Mickey Mantle, Wayne Gretzky or Connor McDavid cards, a baseball bat, an old game worn jersey, or an autograph book your dad or grandfather never threw away, we can help you monetize your sports collectibles and ensure you get market value for your best items! We are a phone call (604-726-1774) or email away (info@aasportscards.com) should you want to discuss your quality sports collectibles with us

Mike Chark and Dave Caplan at aasportscards are a great team to work with. Having had knowledge of the value of various sports collectibles over the years, I can say that I have certainly been very happy with their estimation of the current worth of items and their interaction with me on an ongoing basis when they have been auctioning my items.

Whether they are offering to buy items outright or auctioning them on eBay for me on consignment, you won’t find anyone more reliable and easy to work with – and with more integrity – than Mike and Dave.  Their advice is not only valuable but also so is their ability to listen to their clients desires. I highly recommend you try them out.
